Garage Update

Well, Stucco is on the walls and we’re very slowly making progress. The painters are supposed to be here today painting the trim, but of course they’re nowhere to be found. Anna’s over there doing some more priming; we’re supposed to paint the downstairs this weekend and she’ll do the upstairs next week while the kids are in school. For some bizarre reason I’m having a really hard time getting her to actually buy paint. I don’t understand it, but it is what it is. Theoretically the hardwood will be delivered next week and the floors will go in soon after.

- Just walked past the place where Anna and I first touched legs. It was Fat Fish Blue in Cleveland – an accident, but we both kept them there #

In Akron

I had lunch at Sky-Way drive-in in Akron today. Haven’t done that since we left town six months and a day ago. It was nice to sit there and feel back home again. Afterwards I headed off to the West Side Bakery to pick up some cookies before heading off to visit with an old neighbor. The old house looks great and the neighborhood looks great as well. Nice to be home again.

- Just finished working (long day). Time to take the dogs for a walk. #
- Aaah, Vodka. Sipping a nice, cold Skye Vodka in a tall glass of ice cold Simply Lemonade. Heaven. #
- Beating up my contractor yet again today. Nobody hear yet – using subcontractors sucks. So much time wasted because of scheduling issues. #

- Just had a GREAT dinner at Flemings with an old friend from Ohio. Solved the mystery of the bloody carpet at the same time. #
- I love my BlackBerry Torch! #
- I've only seen my wife and kids for a few hours in the last 15 days. Boy I miss them and can't wait for them to get home (two more days)! #
- Elizabeth's got a bad case of swimmers ear and may not be able to fly. Crikey #
- Been goatee free for 9 days now. I'm starting to like it. Makes me look younger (more important now than ever before). #
